You stay in control
Approve each posting one by one, or set an auto-approve threshold for a search group (e.g. a score of 80 or more). Without a threshold, nothing is sent without your approval; either way, applications go out from your own computer and your own account.
You track employer replies
Employer responses are tracked in one place, so you're not left searching for where each application stands.

Are applications sent without me knowing?
No. By default you approve every posting. Only you can switch on an auto-approve threshold; then it applies only to postings above that score, and every application sent appears in your list with the answers that were filled in. You can switch the threshold off at any time.
